The Tipping Competition is the main and overarching competition that facilitates both the Teams Comp and Dally M Medal. The Tipping Comp is managed using ESPN FootyTips. The competition starts round 1 and finishes on grand final day. There is prize money for first, second and third with the overall winner of the Tipping Comp getting their name etched on the Josephine Garrard Memorial trophy.
The Team’s Competition runs parallel to the Tipping Competition. People are drawn into teams at the start of the season where teams go head to head each round against the other teams. This competition is designed to encourage participation throughout the whole season and provide a forum for banter amongst the group for people that don't know each other. The overall winning team receives moneyback.
The Dally M Medal runs parallel to the Teams Competition. People are allocated points at the completion of each round of the Teams head to head matches. This competition is designed to showcase the people who get good weekly results for their team, plus a chance for the people who might not be at the top of the Tipping ladder a chance to win some prize money. The overall winner gets $100 and is awarded a replica medal.
